Why does it hurt to get a tattoo on your clavicle? Do tattoos hurt more on the bone?

It’s known for sure that the least painful places to get tattooed are those with the most fat, the fewest nerve endings, and thickest skin. The reason why clavicle tattoos are painful is that this area usually has just a bit of fat and thin skin, such bony areas as clavicle usually hurt a lot.

Are clavicle tattoos attractive?

Some say that clavicle tattoos can highlight one of the most attractive parts of the human body. Such tattoos range from delicate and dainty to fierce and powerful, they might include full chest pieces or delicate wording, so you have a lot of options.

Can you shower after a clavicle tattoo?

Of course that you can take a shower after a clavicle tattoo, just make sure to keep it as dry as possible. All should be OK with showering as long as you would not completely soak your clavicle tattoo. For sure, you should avoid swimming for the first 3-4 weeks, before the top layer of your skin will not heal, so forget about the lake, ocean, or submerging your tattoo in a bath or hot tub.

How much do clavicle tattoos cost?

The total cost of your tattoo on the clavicle will depend on the size of your tattoo and how much detail it has. The clavicle isn’t a large area, so a small or mid-sized design would only take a couple of hours, you might pay $150 to $300, more if you would decide on a large design going down on the chest.
